How to get there + parking
You can use ‘The Spa at Pinehurst’ in Google Maps and it will take you to the parking area in front of the building. The entire resort is quite large, but it’s also well signed, so once you get close you’ll also be able to follow the signs to the parking area.
It’s about an hour’s drive from Fayetteville.
The parking area is a large lot and parking is free.
Day visit hours
If you only want to spend a day at the spa without booking a treatment, access is limited to Monday – Thursdays.
On these days you can get a “tranquility pass” for $50 but you cannot pre-book this. You’d need to call or arrive as soon as it opens to purchase one. This allows you access to the relaxing spa areas for the opening hours for the whole day, 8am – 6pm.
Friday – Sundays the spa access is limited to people who have a treatment booked.
If you want to guarantee entry the day you want to visit, it’s best to book a treatment.

Checking in to The Spa at Pinehurst
When you arrive, you just need to sign in at the front desk then the staff will guide you to the appropriate change room area. There is a separate changing room area for males and females.
You have access to the spa from the time it opens to closing, and can leave (for example to get lunch) and come back.
Change rooms and facilities
You will be provided with a robe and slippers once you get to the changing room. You’ll also get a locker for the day which is controlled by a pin code that you will set so you don’t need to carry around a key all day.
The changing area is quite large and stocked with just about everything you would need.
There are private changing rooms cabins as well as open areas. The showers are stocked with shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, shower caps, mouthwash, and even disposable razors.
There are also plenty of fresh towels available around the spa.
What to do at the spa
You have two main areas that you’ll be using during your day trip to The Spa at Pinehurst – the gender specific area and the main pool area.
The gender specific area includes a jacuzzi, sauna, and steam room, along with reclined chairs to relax on.
Personally, this is the only thing I didn’t like about the spa because there’s no group area to sauna and steam, instead it’s split by gender. I was there on a date day with my husband and it was weird to have to split up each time we wanted to use the sauna or steam room. I’d rather be able to share the experience.
For context thought, I am from Australia and have used these types of facilities all over Europe and they’ve always been mixed gender. Sharing with other genders is normal for me and has never been an issue.
The main area is a large room with a lap pool, jacuzzi, and plenty of seating.
During your day you can go between the areas to relax in the sauna, steam room, and pools.
Services and treatments
If you want to add extra relaxation to your day, there are a range of treatments to choose from including facials, massages, and body scrubs.
It would be best to book this in advance though to make sure you can get a treatment while you’re there.
I added on a deep tissue massage and it was fantastic! I also liked having the treatment booked to secure my day at the spa since we had limited time off together.
Extra bonuses
As an added bonus to your day trip to The Spa at Pinehurst, there are refreshment stations in the gender specific spa area and in the main pool area.
At these you have access to water, juice, tea, coffee, and light snacks all throughout the day. There are also delicious free smoothies and you just need to ask the roaming staff for those.
Nearby food
There are multiple restaurants located on the property and all their menus are available on the resort website.
If you want to venture out for lunch, I recommend the nearby Pinehurst Brewing Company.
